Congratulations to visiting trainer, Scott Dunmore, on receiving second place at the National French Ring Championships/ Ring II! Did you know he also may be the only decoy in the country who's certified in Schutzhund, Mondio Ring, French Ring and PSA (Protection Sport Association). We're so proud of Scott and feel lucky to have him as part of the + dog team! Go, Scott &Vollie!

More than just dog lovers, every + dog trainer was first a client or intern. In addition to their college educations, our professional staff is committed to furthering their professional dog training education through frequent participation in seminars, workshops and conferences.

Our trainers have been certified in Pet CPR and First Aid by the American Red Cross. Their own dogs have competed locally, regionally and nationally or are in training to do so.

jenifer vickery
Jenifer has been helping dogs and their owners develop enjoyable lifelong partnerships since 1993, when she began working with Lance Woodley of the Compatible Canine Center in Brookline, MA. Her broad range of experience includes pet and competition obedience, behavior modification, rehabilitation of "problem dogs," puppy development, breed rescue, Canine Good Citizen & Therapy Dog Preparation and more. Jenifer also has 10+ years experience of helping expectant mothers prepare their "first baby' for the arrival of their new baby and regularly led workshops at Isis Parenting in Brookline, Needham, Boston, Hanover and Arlington – the same workshop she currently teaches during Sunday Seminars at + dog and via phone consults.

Jenifer holds an Associate's Degree in Applied Animal Science from Cazenovia College in New York and a Bachelor's Degree in English from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with graduate work at Boston University.

Jenifer has competed locally, regionally and nationally in obedience and rally and has titled dogs under the American Kennel Club, the United Kennel Club and Schutzhund USA. Jenifer and her dog "Traak" competed in the 2001 and 2002 All-Star Obedience Championships, attaining the highest overall score among competing German Shepherds both years. She and Traak also qualified for the 2008 All-Star Obedience Championship in rally. In an effort to help as many dogs and owners as possible, Jenifer is currently not competing. She looks forward to using that time to initiate more ways to help owners and their dogs develop enjoyable lifelong partnerships in 2013 and beyond. Jenifer has previously taught at the Boston Center for Adult Education and was often heard taking calls from listeners on WBCN (104.1 FM) Radio on Mat Schaefer's Sunday Morning Review program. adjunct trainer
scott dunmore
Scott Dunmore has been training dogs professionally for over a decade. If Scott looks familiar, you may remember him from his + dog internship many years ago! Since then, he's titled dogs in Schutzhund, French Ring, Mondio Ring, Protection Sports Association, and Dock Diving. Whew!

He's a busy guy — when he's not competing his own dogs, Scott can be seen around town doing home visits and train & board for his private clients. He was also the featured dog-trainer on NECN's The Secret Life of Animals with Vicki Croke. To see clips of Scott's several appearances, click here. Scott is such an effective teacher that his 9-year old daughter is ranked #3 in the world for Dock Diving with their dog, Vollie. Congratulations, Celia!

+ dog clients are lucky to have Scott as part of their networking team! He's the Pack Leader during mid-week pack walks … exclusively for + dog day school students, these one of a kind adventures take your training to the next level … outside, off leash and under-control. Cesar has nothing on our Scott!

In 2004, she opened Wanna Walk, a successful Boston dog-walking service that provides owners with a safe, reliable, educated, and knowledgeable dog walker.

Renee expanded her pack to include Wauwinet ("Win"), another Labrador Retriever, who recently earned his CGC Certification. He is working toward his TD Certification and is actively enrolled in Rally Obedience classes. Stay tuned – there's much to come for this talented team!
